Looking for a bit of help with this one. We bought s Kentia Palm about 6 weeks ago but over the last 3 weeks approx. some of the leaves have died and more and turning brown. It's in a hallway, not in direct sunlight, watered about once a week. . Not sure what the issue is. The hall isn't too hot either. .

Perhaps it's just getting used to its new surroundings??

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Under watering is the main cause of brown tips to leaves. Once a week should be sufficient but the surface of the compost should be damp.

They like diffused light but not harsh direct sunlight.

They don't like being disturbed so it may just be settling in too.

Annoyingly brown tips are also a symptom of overwatering.
Rather than just watering religiously once a week make sure it has actually dried out sufficiently. Houseplants should always be on the dry side.
