Wicklow 4G broadband recommendation?

    Service provider wanted

Required: a 4G mobile Internet broadband service in a rural location in Co. Wicklow near Wicklow town, with

    • c. 100% uptime
    • static IP address
    • router* that supports wireguard VPN protocol, natively or in bridge mode, with IPv4

Currently I'm on a DSL link (4Mb) with Vodafone. I've put up with a slow link because I want a static IP address and uptime.

Previously I have used Three for mobile broadband and found it insufficiently reliable and the customer service unacceptable (will never use again). Switched from Eir DSL to Vodafone when they jacked up prices a couple of years back.

4G coverage and speed seems to have improved so I'm willing to try again with mobile broadband.

*I was unable to get a neighbour's Huawei B818-263 router from Eir to work

I don't mind buying a separate router if one works. It's possible the problems I had were network related (perhaps involving IPv4 encapsulated in IPv6 traffic) not router related. Advice welcome.

Some of my neighbours have switched to imagine.ie and report mixed results. I think it was oversold and congested at times as result. No news lately may mean they've sorted it out. Wicklow Broadband are unable to offer service to my location.

Wife and I are on Eir mobile contract-free SIMs. Am willing to consider a package deal for broadband, landline, + 2 mobiles. Vodafone previously said they can't engage on this front because their broadband and mobile services are provided by entirely different companies.
