passive POE injector for IP Camera

    Hi there,

    I am looking at getting a passive Poe connector and connecting it directly into my Hub router for power and data transfer to an IP camera. Just wondering if any one has advice on this? Should I put some sort of protector between the router and the Poe injector?
    Would appreciate a bit of advice?
