Ya I've applied. These competitions are a complete lottery to be honest. I applied for the staff officer compeitions this year and last year. Placed significantly higher up on the panel last year than I did this year yet felt my interview was way better this time round. To have any hope of landing these positions I really think you need to have a foot in the door in the Council already.
