Power cut on automatic gates

My automatic gates were just opened when our power cut out.... now they are stuck open and no amount of redialling the code or pressing the button on the remote will close them. Any ideas on how to fix them?

Do you have a manual override to allow you close the gates? Some motors can be disengaged to allow the gates be open or closed by hand. I wonder if you do this and re-engage the motor will it work?

I assume you have confirmed there is power in the motors?

Check the manual?

Mine are a tad temperamental and stay open sometimes for no logical reason
