This post is to make people aware of an initiative between the F&F forum and the Hunting forum.

The Hunting subsection of the Shooting forum has, by necessity, close ties with landowners and farmers/farming in real life. They often have farmers come onto the forum looking for help to control pests on land. Meanwhile, we have shooters posting in F&F looking for permission to do pest control.

In an attempt to facilitate both parties, a cross-forum co-operation thread was proposed and considered before being given a provisional approval. Due to the nature of it, it will be hosted on the hunting forum and moderated by the mods there. It is intended to be a thread where people seeking permission, or those with land looking for pest/game control, can post to ask for help.

For now, it will only apply to shooting deer, within season, or with the correct legal exemptions. Vermin control may follow at a later date if this trial is productive.

There is a sticky thread in the Forestry forum
    https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=117239534
containing more details and the link to the thread in the Hunting forum.

This is just a trial for the 2021-22 hunting season and it really only concerns farmers who are having problems controlling deer.

    F&F Mods.
