Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

2009 Focus 1.6 tdci , Power Steering Failure message comes suddenly
on dash , all alarm lights on dash and revs drop to 800, Throttle pedal has no response , can only crawl in first gear. Then after a few minutes the power kicks back in and it revs freely. The power steering is fine all the time . This happens every few minutes of driving , Any ideas ?

The steering could be a symptom of an electrical issue rather rather than a fault.

I’m not a doctor but I’d be checking your battery voltage with and without the engine running, I think the alternators on some Mk2 Focus are a bit iffy.
