    We have held 4 races to date since our lockdown was eased in April. There was the Half Marathon on April 24th and 5k on the 25th, then May 16th we had another 5k and the full marathon.

    In each case we had approx 50% of the entrants did not show up when they had already paid their entry fees last year and the events were postponed.

    I am somewhat surprised how many no shows there are and especially amongst the non elite runners where its most common.

    The paltry turnout would have been even worse if not for the superb support of the entrants from across the border. In fact in the marathon, seven of the top 10 were from ROI.

    Its great to see such enthusiasm for the races here from our Southern cousins and long may it continue, you are all very welcome.
