Securing fireplace extension onto wooden floor

I have a fireplace extension, made of marble, which was given to me to sit in front of my stove. I'm just wondering what would be the best way to secure this in place. It sits on a wooden floor.

Does it actually need securing, will its own weight keep it in place ? If so maybe some construction adhesive such as Gripfill ? It doesn't look fully solid so maybe a couple of small angles screwed into the timber floor might work either, just to stop it moving sideways but you could still lift it up ?

Is the wooden floor fixed or floating?

It's absolutely huge I'd get it cut in half tbh. It looks out of keeping with the rest of the fireplace. Cutting it in half will alleviate that. You really shouldn't need that much area for the front of the stove.

Maybe the photo makes it look big, but it's only 300mm from the front of the stove. The regulations say 225mm at a minimum.

I got it free anyway, and used to have tiles here that extended to 280mm, so not a big deal

Thanks for the advice. I'll get some Tech7 today and glue it in place.
