Creaking staircase

    Hi,

I’m looking for a recommendation for a good carpenter to fix a creaky stairs in south Dublin. U don’t have access from below so diy is not really possible. Planning on replacing the carpet in the next month or so so figured this is the ideal time to do it. It’s pretty bad and with a newborn in the house it’s very frustrating having to tip toe up the stairs every night !
    Thanks in advance

When a stairs is being built all the pieces that hold it together are fitted to the under side, I doubt much can be done to stop it from creaking by working on the upper side only.
