Is there a good way to powerwash the path around the house without the dirt getting on the walls of the house?

I tried a patio attachment which didn't work and my old Nilfisk washer doesn't have a hard surface attachment.

I've stopped using a power washer to do the paths. I brush chloras on to them and let the rain take care of the rest.

Totally agree - Was given one as a present from my parents years ago used i and cursed as I did as I was just spraying water and dirt every where.

Buy 5 litre of chloras dilute pour on surface maybe agitate with yard brush and hose off after 45 minutes or so

One Karcher Power washer going cheap!!

Just spray the house after you do the paths.

Exactly, even with the hose and not the pressure water, the dirt will be loose

Powerwashing paths and drives is a pain in the arse - I have a Karcher K7 (one of the most powerful electric power washers available) and it takes ages. Patio attachments don't work well IME so I end up using the normal lance which blasts water and dirt everywhere.

This "Chloras" sounds good, can it be applied with a watering can? How about something like "Wet & Forget". I suppose there are no free lunches here, the better a chemical is at cleaning, the worse it will be for any plants that it may splash onto.

Yes apply with a watering can, think 1 part Chloras to 10 parts water apply to surface allow to sit for about 45 min or so then light hose it off - I do agitate the area with a yard brush when applying

I have seen my neighbour pour parazone on his back yard then scrub it in with brush and hose

Did some more reading on this, looks like my driveway has sandstone content while my paths are more standard concrete. I have black and white lichen spots on the driveway - very like this.

The Karcher K7 does remove these but they start to reappear within a few months.

Some tips here and advice on what not to do

So hypochlorite/Chlorax is fairly effective if applied regularly

I use a bucket and an old sweeping brush and brush it to form a sort of lather on the surface.
I leave it there to work for as long as possible and let the weather clear it off. No hose needed. Brings the concrete up nice and clean.

Just be advised that it should not be used on tarmac. So if there is any run off on to a tarmac driving I would recommend hosing that off.

I take it that Chlorax wouldn't be advised where the runoff will go into a lawn either?

What about artificial grass would it be safe to runoff into it or would there be possible bleaching?

A few years ago, Aldi had a universal pressure washer cover, clip on, splash guard, type thing. I have never seen them sell it since.

    This is it:

It's absolutely fantastic, but I can't seem to find it for sale anywhere, since. I think it cost me less than a tenner, and thankfully I still have it, but if you can find (or make) something similar, you'll be laughing. I've done patios and a concrete driveway and it really does help stop all the dirt from flying everywhere.

Patio magic is super stuff to for killing green and moss on paths and drives. Apply with garden sprayer.

It’s a safer version of clorus and very similar. Does not need hosing off afterwards.
