    Hi all,
    Just a quick question is it better to fertilze the grass before or after spraying the rushes.

    Doesnt make any difference to the kill either way.
    But most spead before spray, thinking that the grass will smother the dying rush, tho I don't pass any remarks on that notion.

    Is there a good time of year for spraying rushes with MCPA? Is now as good as any?

    Most sprays work best when plant is actively growing, for rushes that’s nearly always, but less damage to grass when it’s growing strongly.

    Right now on ahead thought the summer.
    You can spray winter and spring and it will work OK, but best kill is during the summer growth.
