Art power is a horse I thought would go onto be a world beater after his performance at Naas last year. He went on to finish 4th in two group 1s after that including beaten only a length in the Champions sprint at Ascot. I think he will make a top class 4yo the only worry today being the drying ground.

The beautifully bred Noon star is my pick for the Musidora. Teona was impressive the last day but that was the all weather and Noon star has achieved more for me.

High definition is my pick for the Derby and I think Yorks long straight will really suit him tomorrow. Think 9/4 is a great price and have requested a Dante/Derby double off powers.

I have to say, in my opinion, this has to be the worst racing I've seen a long time for betting purposes right from the day-time through the evening cards. Horrible

Few lay place bets @ York through the day maybe and a couple of nice bets in the evening maybe but I was expecting or hoping for more from the York card.

1.30 Worcester, Sandy Boy. Not liking the horse at all in the race. I can't see it being in the first 3 places, so going to lay 3 places @ around 11/10
The betfair comments that it returned to form I can't believe that. It was a small weak race and the fav was stone last that day and another 'contender' was pulled up so I find it was lucky to finish 3rd that day. Granted today's race is not great there are a few hardy types in the race and it will surely get knocked about and hopefully finished nearer last than first.

I've thrown a couple of darts at the handicaps.

1.40 Win O'Clock 16/1 ew 5 places with PP in the hopes that the easier ground will suit better than on his re appearance

    15.40 Pivoting 22/1 ew 4 places

    Won at 9/2

2.30 Worcester, Tiger Orchid. Again not liking this horse and I don't think it will be placed. Laying 3 places @ around 5/6

2.40 York, Art Power. Again don't like the fav in this race, I don't think it will be in the first 3. Laying 3 places @ around 1/1 or 11/10

3.10 York, Noon Star. Horse is around 13/8. I'm still backing it to win and it's my best bet of the day. I am worried about Mystery Angel in the race and I think it will put it to Noon Star but Noon Star will hopefully get the job done.

3.30 Worcester, Johnny B, horse is around 6/5. Don't like the horse here and I think it will get turned over. Can't see it winning, confident lay bet.

I think that the 13/8 fav Tajdid is opposable. He won well over a similar trip last month at Salisbury. That was on good to firm, and the going here today is good (good to soft in places). Also, that Salisbury race was ran in a slow time, where today's 2nd fav Bobby Kennedy - who's around 3/1- came 2nd. Looking for one at a price here, and the pen landed on CLOUDY ROSE. She'll be having her fifth run today, and her 2nd in a handicap. Lto, which was her first handicap outing, saw her giving her best account to date. She weren't fancied that day, and ran a bit keen early doors; eventually beaten about 7 1/2lgths. That was about the same distance as today's race, and on good to firm at Yarmouth. Will hope that today's easier ground will suit, and that she'll settle better. At 25/1, she'll do me here each way.

I'm going to take an absolute hail mary on Volatile Analyst in the 2.40. 100/1 with Paddy. Has won first time out both seasons and on breeding looks like he'll appreciate the mile better than the 6f he's been running over.

Probably finish out with the washing but at 100/1 its worth the risk.

    That went well.

Passed on York today but few lovely bets lined up for this evening for myself.

6.30 Fontwell, Shantou Flyer. Horse is quite short @ roughly 8/15 but 'short relative to what.....' I think the 8/5 is good value. I've been backing bits and pieces all day and few more quid on now before the off. Should win 10 - 15 lengths surely, confident win bet.

6.40 York, Aaddeey. Horse is around 10/11 on the exchange currently. Again I've been backing small bits and will go in again near the off.

6.55 Clonmel, Shantou Lucky. Horse is drifting @ around 2/1 but I'm not put off by the drift. I'm still backing to win

Done the above 3 in folds etc...

7.05 Fontwell, Guguss Collonges. Not liking the horse in the race at all. Can't see it being placed, laying 3 places @ around 6/5.

I have a few more 'potential' bets but have to see how these get on first.

Didn’t work out today but just watched the repeat and I thought he stayed on quite well at the end despite tender handling. Might be another day for him.

Few nice bets lined up for the day for myself.

1.15 Newbury, Ensyaaby. Horse is around 7/4. Even at that in a race like this I still think it's exceptional value. This is my best bet of the day by far. Horse has been running consistently, they were waiting for the right race and I believe this is it. Very confident win bet to start the day off.

Leopardstown 3:30 - The Mpex Kid goes in as top weight here and looks the best horse of the race on form, unless Oh Purple Reign can get anywhere near back to its best from a few years back. 10/1 best price now.

Ron Priestly should run well today (15:10 York)- was very impressive on his return last month leaving pyledriver in his wake and Santiago was very poor on his first trip in 2021 in Navan. Trip and going should also suit
