Keen to get peoples thoughts on potential pitfalls associated with operating an Ice cream bike in Dublin city for the Summer?

The idea is that it would be non-stationary - cycling around various parks and public spots in south Dublin city - Portobelllo, Ranelagh, Rathmines, Harolds Cross area.

Would the below license and HACCP cover this?

    rain :D

Registration with HSE essential, but that's easy.

    Probably best to ask DCC.

Another option is to look at sports grounds such as Leinster Cricket and other cricket clubs, Various hockey clubs etc. These do not have the crowds to warrant a shop, but would have enough to warrant Ice cream bike. Build up a list, have a decent patter for selling the idea to the grounds and you have a decent audience.

A casual trading licence only allows you to set up in designated areas at designated times (weekly market days etc)

It doesn't mean you can just set up randomly anywhere at any time that suits.

Going to different sports grounds could be a good idea but that's not always easy either, they will look to charge you for the privilege of using their grounds. More often than not they won't allow you in for some reason or another.

You'd need minimum HACCP course-look at your local enterprise office, HSE Registration, Insurance-a must for any place that allows you in, including the council for the casual trading licence.
