So last winter, I was struggling to deal with Frogspawn in a in virtual/remote classroom https://www.npws.ie/legislation/irish-law/doe-frog-licence.

Does the license i have provide a link to above, extend to remote/ virtual classrooms during a pandemic?

Would you not ask the school secretary to check with the department?

    thank you Athone.
    Which "Department" ?
    witch " school "?
I have never know it to be a school secretary's job to find out law?
So while Frogspawn and the law Winter 2021 happened,
What about Frogspawn and the law Winter 2022?

You are very good to care about these potential frogs Athone.
    Rock on Athone.
    Rock on Frogs too!

Presumably the Dept of Education and the school you teach in/for. Otherwise, email the NPWS yourself and ask.
Note - The license you linked to expired in 2019, however, I would assume the updated license is much the same and I can't see anything in it that differentiates between an in person class and one taught online.

Thank you, I did not know my frogspawn license expired in 2019.
But how do you know it expired in 2019 -can you enlighten me?
    Please
The climate in Ireland at present is actually very good for Frogspawn to be allowed to spawn.
Are frogs not aloud to spawn anymore, since 2019?

it says so on the licence. Any chance you could ask questions that contain less nonsense?

and just to answer the actual questioned you asked:
the licence is extended to the Secretary General and Nominees of the Department of Education and Skills. Assuming you are a teacher you would be a nominee. In the normal course of events you could venture out with your charges and legally collect frog spawn. Am I correct in thinking that you are asking if the licence extends to your students so they can collect frog spawn themselves in a remote environment? If that is your actual question then I think a strict reading of the licence would be that the licence does not extend to your students collecting frog spawn except if the Secretary General has nominated them.

No it does not. It allows a teacher and a rep of a school and nobody else. Collect it and show the kids online.

    Schools are back anyway.

Thank you - You are a star ohnonotgmail.

no children collect spawn, they are only observers.
You are good at reading the license using law, I'm not good at law.
Nonsense is very educational, in other words " C is for cookie, is good enough for me".

Frogspawn and nonsense are compatible , is a clue, or even a fact.
thank you ohnonotgmail, for help to Frogspawn and the law. :)

    Are you serious?

    A representative.

The licence is NOT the teacher's but is the dept of education's and their representatives or nominees.

Probably too late for frogspawn now anyway and, as I said, schools are now open.

I really hope the OP is not a teacher because the communication skills evident in this thread are severely lacking

It's likely the OP is trying to use this as an oh-so-clever heavily belaboured metaphor for the facts of the legal dispute he appears to be in from his other posts in this forum. Putting a kind construction on it...
