Have yearling bullocks, Angus and Lim, grass is a big problem at the moment, was thinking of putting them in for a couple weeks and letting the place hopefully soak and give the grass a chance, I have 1st cut silage from June bank holiday last year, dry leafy grass, will I go with 2-3 kgs of a 15% protein nut also? Have noticed in the past if I had to put cattle in after a while on grass they really seem to step it up again when silage is introduced in the shed. Any thoughts would be very grateful. Thanks.

I’d leave out the meal. It’s a nightmare having to put them back in but sometimes it’s needs must and all that. If the silage is good, then they’ll be fine as hopefully you’ll be letting them back out in a couple of weeks.
