Backyard. Slab or concrete

Hi. Backyard wondering if there is much difference to laying paving slabs (Parisian style - the big uneven type ones) than to laying brick or square slabs? It was assumed we would just concrete but there won't be any vehicles out the back and slab might look nicer. Have layed the brick so just concerned if the bigger slabs…

You could also look into imprinted concrete, there's a decent selection of colours and brick patterns
