My eldest started JI in Sept 2020, and apparently the JI intake then was slightly smaller than normal due to COVID - i.e younger kids who might otherwise have started aged 4 were held back for 2021.

Is our school an outlier or has this been noticeably widespread re JI intake in Sept 2020?

Interesting. Made no difference to our intake of Junior Infants this year.

We are always oversubscribed, so take in the same amount each year , but there weren’t any children meant to start who didn’t ,
