I haven't the foggiest where to start or who to get to do it.
The driveway and the back of the house is fully paved with small blocks (driveway is herring bone style and back yard is done in a semi circle) and not a patch of grass or soil or greenery in sight.

I want to change that and put in some suitable plants and attract some wildlife.

It would be completely out of the scope of my capabilities and I don't have tools.

I'm in Dublin 15. Where will I go and what type of person could do this?

It ill come down to budget, there are a lot of landscapers out there and depending on how big you want to go the cost will scale with it.

Start with your neighbours though and see if they can point you in the direction of someone local.

I would start with pot planting to get some greenery in. You can also do a lot of vegetables in pots. I also use a couple of 6x2 planks screwed/nailed together with 2x2. Make a frame of desired size, place over paved area you want it to go, and lift all the blocks inside that area. Most likely sand or hardcore underneath so fill the beds with a mix of topsoil and compost.
