I bought one of these a week ago , found it was delivered with 4 off part#16 (bracket)
instead of 2 and none of part#15 (bracket)..should have come with 2 off these
Lidl referred me to manufacturer in Germany and there is a call logged since Tuesday
last to get it sorted which i assume means to get me the missing parts
    No word back since.

Anyone else in same position ?
Anyone received too many of part#15 and want to swap brackets ?

I would have thought it was lidl's problem to sell you an item fit for purpose,
    which its clearly not.

Can you not just bring it back, and avoid all the hassle.

Because, presumably, he'd like a functional BBQ?

I've had a few of these kinds of problems in the past with stuff from Lidl, and in all cases I contacted the manufacturer and got the relevant parts sent to me free of charge by return post. I know that strictly speaking it's Lidl's responsibility but it's often quicker and easier to just contact the manufacturer directly.
