Just wishing to share this sad fascinating incident I witnessed this morning.

I was driving along a rural road with an 80km speed limit this morning when two cars flew past be both breaking the speed limit.

I soon received a call and I pulled over to a safe area to talk on the phone. I then saw a male Chaffinch dancing around his female partner who had just been killed by one of the speeding cars.

He then vegan to dance on top of her for a further minute, then another car came along and it caused the male to fly away and he didn't return.

I thought this behavior was sad and fascinating.

Probable a nest of chicks left behind also I'm guessing.
