some texts vanished

    I bought a sony xperia L4 a year ago. I changed sms apps to simple mobile tools app after three months. Now texts that arrived in the original app are not visible in the new app and vice versa. Is this normal?


    Also some texts are gone completely , they are part of a thread of texts with one person and the rest of his texts are still there and can be seen in the different aps depending on the date i received them . Can the vanished ones be recovered? I did not delete them

    Texts could be coming in as RCS messages into Google messages so they aren't showing up in app

    Then how come some are there.? Simple mobile tools, which i used for some, is not a google app.
