    Hi,

I have been looking at this scheme and just wondering what the average process is. As in do you apply for the scheme and then buy a house, ie do you pay the full amount and then get reimbursed?

Will your bank want proof of acceptance to the scheme?

It's paid direct to the developer after you complete the purchase, so you never really see the money. What your solictor pays on completion is the purchase price less the H2B contribution.

Yes, the bank will want confirmation that you've been accepted.

    Thanks.
Does it have to be a new build bought straight from a builder. Could I use htb in a private sale but the house is only built two years?

    New or self builds only.
