Can anybody offer advise on how to remove the cover plate from a "Basta Belvedere" door handle.
The plate hides the fixing screws which I need to remove in order to replace the lock.

Cover plate should slip off with a thin knife or screw driver but just be careful not to damage timber. Photo would help.

Is there not a little Allen key nut thing at the very bottom of the handle plate? Look upside down

Thanks for that info --it worked.
I had come across that video but started watching from midway ,where the screws are actually removed.

Thanks again, I can now change the lock without destroying the door!!
