This has put the tin hat on buying both Irish sites. Waste of time.

Covid has delayed deliveries all over the world. Every delivery company has on their website to expect details due to Covid-19.

The problem with handyhardware is they have bad delivery all the time. I'm betting you order hasn't been dispatched yet. They sell goods that aren't in stock without letting you know. You could be waiting a few weeks before they actually dispatch it. Same people own onlinetradsmen. Another disaster of a business

Sleeper wake up, all the regular good sites i deal with are doing next day delivery. If they are out of stock fair enough have to wait.
    Don’t be blaming COVID-19.

The funny thing is, I'd be more annoyed at them for selling goods they don't have in stock than a delivery company that takes a day or two longer due to covid work restrictions. The way they do things on some goods listed is wait to get an order from a customer. Then they place an order for this item. It could be weeks coming from the UK before they have it to dispatch to the customer here. Items should be in stock or made clear to the customer that it's a back order item

Handyhardware has on there site to confirm if they have in stock item before you order. I did this, rang them and had in stock.
Another 5 days to dispatch then, hopeless.

    Tis Handy who blame covid.

Did for me anyway, after I bought products from their site, that were advertised. But then it turned out they were out of stock.

Did you ask them did they have it in their warehouse personal stock.

Being in stock and being in their stock are two different things. They may be reading from their suppliers page when answering such a question.

How the hell would a customer know to ask that question? If you're told they have an item in stock, then you'd expect it to be available for dispatch asap.
I gave up on this crowd a long time ago. Even pre-covid, their lead times were crap. Don't know how they are still in business, there are plenty of other more reliable places to buy from.

Only the civil servants are still blaming COVID. If anything delivery has improved massively during COVID due to most companies with an online presence ramping up their capabilities and companies like DPD have loads of new vans and even lads delivering in private cars which always feels a bit dodgy.
I have on occasion ordered items online at 3PM and got it by 10AM the next day without any sort of expedited delivery paid for.
