    Don't touch it.

The warranty will be void the minute you do and Ford won't want to know about anything if there is a problem down the line.
You also won't be insured if you crash and it is found out that you had an undeclared modification. And if you do declare the modification to the insurer they will massively load you premium as in their world view modifications = tendency for risky driver behaviour.

It's not worth the hassle imo.

The 130 and 170 are apparently the same, but as above there are implications

Forescan? Terrible product name! Hope it doesn't cock up your engine...

But why? Do you want to lose your warranty?

Remap on a transit totally transforms the vehicle. Its a different van if the remap is right! And to void a warranty they “Ford” need to know that a remap was installed!

Most modern remaps are undetectable. The dont put a flash date, reprogramming counter, etc.

Different engine, but I had a Renault Trafic van remapped a few years ago (Joe Power). After the remap it had more power, and i got an extra 4mpg.

If it is being mapped by forscan, you could do it yourself,
I know the Mk5 2.0 Mondeo came from the factory with 3 maps installed, 150/180/210
The 150 is readily available by changing 2 settings to take it to 180.
210 is not available ( well it is ) but needs twin turbo which the 150/180 does not have.
