get down to your local newsagents instantly before they're returned

There is a place in Dun Laoghaire that sells old newspapers. Usually has a decent sized list of back issues

Papers haven't been returned for years. The newsagents normally cut the bar codes off to prove the number not sold then dump them. I used to get a trolly load every couple of weeks for pet bedding from a local newsagents.

Wake me up when it's all over.

I'm guessing that was a good few years ago?
The full paper has to be returned now, think it's been the case for the last decade or so.

The newsagent gets charged for all papers they don't return so that's why they charged you for yesterdays paper OP.

    Other way around.

Barcodes/mastheads were returned for years, but it has long since changed to full copy return.

Alex's is the shop in Dun Laoghaire mentioned. Otherwise, you can get a few previous weeks INM newspapers from their offices on Talbot Street.
