I have an oil fired system Standard rads and normal insulated copper tank in not press area.

The hot tank came with the house but appears new possibly ten years old afaik.

Last year had a rad system flush and fitted a magnaclean to the heating feed to the hot tank as it was most convenient location near the burner.

Noticed recently that the hot water is simply not as hot as it was. Might get one shower out of it and then it's luke warm.

    Not noticeable leaks or anything.

Any ideas of causes ? Magna clean is cleaned regularly.

Is the boiler thermostat as high as it was? Would really need to be at 70 degrees or so.

If that’s ok, you probably have an insufficient flow through the coil. When the flushing was done it’s likely the balancing of the rads and cylinder was upset and redone afterwards. This might need to be revisited.
If there is a gate valve on the cylinder coil you could try opening this an additional half turn and see does it improve the issue.

Hadn't considered a re re balancing tbh . Makes complete sense .
