I presume you are looking for a 10.9 strength bolt. 8.8 is normal strength in shops. There is a crowd in Limerick Hassetts nuts and bolts. They have a good selection of nuts and bolts.

You can try them to see costs. When postage is an issue I be getting a few extra and putting them away some place

    Hi all
I broke the shear bolt off my hi-lift jack last year. Need to replace it but struggling to find one at a reasonable price.

    It’s an M8 ~ 60mm length.

Original is here. But struggling to find someone to post it without large delivery cost.

In ireland the only thing I can find is in Cavan. €2 - a bit short so not sure it’ll work, and €8 to deliver. They won’t put it in an envelope for me. https://www.agridirect...t/shear-bolt-m8-50mm

Anywhere in Dublin I could go do you think?

I’m asking on this forum as it’s a bolt that seems to be used on PTO shafts. Wonder if anyone had any ideas. Thanks all.

    I’ve M8x55 bolts here with a hardness of 10.9.

They are pretty common. A pack of 10 is about €9.

DM me your address and I’ll post a few to you if they suit you.

It's probably just a regular bolt. Have a look at the head of the bolt and the it should have the Class stamped on it - either 8.8 , 10.9 or 12.9. This refers to the strength.

    TED in Dublin should sort you out;

Agridirect is the on-line presence of Kennedys in Ballyconnell.

Not someplace I'd go looking for a selection of high tensile bolts.

Anyone know what shear bolts are in an Abbey offset topper. The topper is in Clare but I'm in Limerick so I might drop into Hassetts to purchase some thanks.

At a guess they would be M8 strength 10.9 and 60mm should be long enough. I very much doubt if they are M6 or M10.

My 6ft semi off set Fleming has M8x55 10.9s
I presume that’s pretty standard to the pto that size.
    Maybe there’s an online booklet?
