LEDs behind TV issue

    Hey all,

I just bought a new 55" and I'm sitting it on an ikea TV bench.

The TV stand gives it a little too much distance far from the wall.

I have a decent TV LED strip to add to the back of the TV but the distance is washing out the colour light strength.

Anyone know of a life hack/fix :p or brackets/rasied platform to bring the strip closer to the wall off the back of the TV even when the TV is a little distanced from the wall?

    Hope I've explained it right!

    Thanks!

Think some kits had adjustable light strength for intensity.

Thanks but its in a converted attic and the wall is plasterboard. Not sure it would take the weight.

    I got this set - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B088TGRW35/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Its realtively OK but if I got 6 inches towards the wall it would really improve :D

    6" that's a lot.
Not sure if you would like "design", but perhaps you could have some light timber frame standing behind TV with lights on it.
Plasterboard does not hang on the air - studs should be ~16"/400mm apart.
If have access behind that wall, you could install filler sheet of ply between studs for extra strength. That is what i have done to mount mine 55"

Mine is on a double bracket in a enclosure built in the bedroom and can extend out about 14 inches, bending strip at corner has broken a connection and stopped it working but it was bright.

My wall is compressed paper which is softer and builder but a ply wood sheet attached to batons behind and well secured the mount to it.

If the wants needs it wall mounted be adjustable side to side and up and down.

Thanks all. I'm very nervous about doing a wall mount and hiding cables myself. Prices seem crazy at €300+ for wall mount and cable hiding services... any recommendations on a decent affordable service?

    Thanks

How many cables are you thinking as you probably forgot many?

+ if you need to add to them is it easy?

So no lan connections oops if you get a smart tv.
No sat or cable or terrestrial feeds ?
Usb cables if wanting to record or play stuff?
2 Hdmi cables enough if things are added to ?

+ overlooked a large space for pulling through a new cable if old one is faulty.
+ a pull through in case you need to add more stuff.

Oops! Yes... lan cable! No tv cable. Probably a USB through if I needed it down the road.
