What to do if ATM swallows your cash lodgement??

    Hi,

    Was at ATM this morning and was attempting to lodge cash in my account.

    When it came to inserting the cash I did so. Message then came on screen about a jam in the cash slot, I attempted to get my money back out but before I could retrieve all of it the door of the slot closed and a message appeared on the screen saying that there will be no further cash lodgments made in this ATM.

    What should I do in this case?? It is a bank Holiday weekend and I do not want to be panicking until Tuesday to find out what will happen to my money stuck in the ATM.

    Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
