I'm a bookkeeper and trying to register a new client on the ROS system. He said he doesn't have ROS himself and his returns were done by an accounting company, via TAIN. He would like to be able to monitor tax affairs via ROS but when we try register it won't let us, saying he is not registered for that tax type...but he is!

Would the fact that he was with an accountant using TAIN but is no longer, have any effect on it

That shouldn’t effect it. Is the name you’re entering possibly not exactly matching what it is on ROS?

Edit: I assumed you’re asking about linking him to your TAIN?
