Angle Grinder direction

When you are using an angle grinder to cut concrete or stone paving, which direction do you have the cutting wheel going?

Do you put handle on the side that brings the dust down and in towards your stomach or do you put the handle on the side which brings the dust up and away? Why do you think this is safer?

Also if you were cutting a concrete block would you cut it with the blade vertical or horizontal?

Dust towards you as if it catches it will go away from you.

There is normally an arrow on the front of the gear housing showing the direction of rotation. Basically you want the dust going down.

Cutting block : vertically I'd say if you have the choice.
