Should we open up the pubs to fcuk and just chance it? It'd probably be grand, lot of fellas have had no place to go since Christmas, few oul pints never did anyone any harm.

There was a lad sent in a WhatsApp voice message to Niall Boylan earlier, he was very old by the way and was going nuts to have everything shut, ports, airports, pubs, shops, we don't need and food or anything coming in bringing in the virus etc....

Niall was like wtf..... What utter tools are among us, they want the world to shut down....

Tell that to the minimum pricing gang.

Also there should be an exemption from the drink driving limits until the end of the year with a review then, to encourage a bit more drinking in pubs. Maybe they could come up with a self assessment scheme then that if you're over the limit and hit someone you get punished, but there'd be no checks on anyone not in a crash.

Whatever about the pubs, they shouldn't open up the restaurants ever again for fear of the killer atein' a big tae an' drivin'

Open it fully for those vaccinated but don't check anyone whether they are or aren't.

    If only this were true.

Does anyone actually believe ridiculous calls and texts to phone shows are genuine.

When they do open the pubs the usual suspects around here can go back to complaining about the price of a pint, how publicans are a shower of greedy bastards, and how they drink at home as it’s much cheaper.

    Complaining being the operative word.

The Beer should be fortified with Vitamin C and D.

Should open pubs. Allow patios outside.
No difference between a restaurant or bar that serves food and a bar.

Guinness is good for you. They should be opened. Most of the elderly who like a pint are vaccinated anyway. The rest of us are young and healthy so the virus isn't a threat.

They aren't going to differentiate between them this time around.

What I do disagree with is opening Hotels and Guesthouses with bars and restaurants available to residents, but not opening pubs and restaurants to outdoor dining on the same day. There is no justification for a delay to the latter, in view of the former.

Sitting outdoors we'll get the vitamin D if it's sunny. Beer contains vitamin B. A glass of orange juice on the side and we'll have our vitamin C. All good :D

He needs to come with subtitles - or stop drinking before he goes to work.

Did anyone ask him if there was anything to back up his claim other than "many would agree with me" or ask him how he intended to create calorie-counter breathalyser tests?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Eat a tonne of food, your behavior never changes.

Have a rake of pints in a crowed area, opportunity of house party after etc... the chemical impact that alcohol has on you as regards physical and psychologically..no, not going to work.

You do know that's not how the virus works?
