NCT door panel off

    Hi I have my car panel off on my passenger side of car as the door wont close with the panel on for some reason only when it's off . Will it fail the NCT as I cant find anything to say it wont.

    It’s called a door card and it really shouldn’t be a problem to get back on properly allowing the door to open and close normally . As for the nct I’d say they would normally fail for this sort of thing but they seem to be letting a lot slide at the moment because they are so busy .

    Going to ring them and find out as it has nothing to do with how the car drives or anything on there check list no problem putting it back on but the car doesn't recognize it so it bounces back off door lock .

    Does it have any affect on the passengers ability to exit the vehicle?

    Take the car to the test anyway. If it fails on the door it will be a free visual retest.

    Do you have to take off hub cap off alloy wheel I also have wheel nut covers

    Internal door cars are designed to provide some protection to occupants in a collision, I think this would be a fail.

    Yes, the wheel nuts have to be visible for the test.
