Just got the car back from a service and the pads apparently 80% worn .... The lad tried to book me in to get them done while a warranty repair takes place next week ...i noticed the quoted price on the sheet was 160 front & 160 rear ....that can't be right can it

Get a second opinion. Some garages can be a bit trigger happy when it comes to upselling.

Better off asking him but it could be.

80% worn is 20% remaining so probably no need to jump into fitting new pads next week unless you only fitted the current pads this day last month.

Getting low though, something to keep an eye to.

If it's a Citreon dealer that's the price all right. It's on the Citreon website too. I got my wife's 161 C4 GP serviced a month ago and it needed rear pads and 160 is what I paid. Pads themselves were about 90 euro.
