EXternal Window Cill Cover

My parents house in nearly 50 years old. Builder was 'old school' and the window cills were made in situ (wooden shuttering etc.). They are now in very bad condition, particularly around the corners and the bottom lip. Was wondering if you can get a cill cover. Think I saw something like this on a house that had external insulation fitted. Googled it but can't find anything (except PVC for internal cills). Anyone know if such a product exists?.

Only other thing I was thinking is fastening expanded metal and 'plastering' the surface.

I've got to second that recommendation. I got a large sill off them last year for a DIY job to partially brick up a French door.
A concrete cill at 1.7m long would have weighed >60kg's, the sill that I got off them was a granite-effect at about 7kgs and looks fantastic.
No bother fitting it; good improvement to the insulation as I reduced a large thermal bridge to effectively nothing.

Anyone got a photo of the 'finished job'?

Certainly does. That looks like some tasty DIY work. Well done.

Are these covers you slip over the bad old cill or does the old one have to come out? Have same problem with several where obviously water has gotten in and metal corroded and concrete bulging and breaking off. I'd love to just be able to stick something on that covers it without a lot of work!

Slip over and stick down. Can be cut with a handsaw.

Just to be clear, mine in the photo is a complete sill and not a cover.
