    Now it's absolutely horrendous. Not in a PC way, but in a way that you're not allowed to have an original thought about something if there's already a thread dedicated to that wider topic.

    I've just had a thread about the word 'discourse' locked because I used the word 'woke' twice and obviously there's already a thread for that.

    Last year I started a thread about laxatives and some genius merged it with the thread about foreigners pooing in cubicles.

    It's a stupid policy lads and one that makes zero sense. That's all I'd say.

    Too many people are looking to get offended on boards.

    By whom, of course, I mean the right-leaning “you can’t say anything these days,” “look at what the wokeys are doing now” merchants giving out because some male actor wore eye liner or the same people moaning because they can’t call transsexuals the f-word anymore. The demographics are just too old.

    Boards mods are notorious for this. Whenever Boards is mentioned on reddit Ireland, someone will raise that issue.

    I started a thread yesterday about how people on Twitter were complaining about the mass gatherings in Stephen's Green, etc, because of the lack of social distancing, but no one mentioned the fact that mass gatherings are just pretty unpleasant anyway. It was locked with a sarcastic remark about there already being a coronavirus thread. Fine, but that wasn't my point! I don't really understand why benefit of the doubt can't be given to the poster.
