Google Photos and Google drive being counting your photos as part of your upload limit from June. What's your plan? Stop uploading? Start paying? Move somewhere else?

I think its very cynical to lock certain editing features on photos unless you pay for this now

Ive always been a big google product fan, but little things like this just tell me that they are going down the wrong road lately

the extra drive space I understand them charging for, but not something that was previously free

No plan, my storage estimate is 4+years before I even need to think about the new changes. Check your's here. https://support.google.com/photos/answer/10100180?hl=en

I'll just pay if I have to. I've been getting a tonne of use out of Google Drive and Photos the last while and it's really well put together. The Search is fairly astonishing and actually makes a decade of photos worth something because I definitely don't go scrolling back through years of photos myself.

I already pay for a business account which is a fiver a month. An extra two quid on my personal account is a pittance.
