Discovery 3 cruise control

    I'm trying to add cruise control to my disco 3 s and its proving to be much harder to do than YouTube would have you believe.
    I have the switches in and radio functions one worked straight away (plug in and play). The cruise control switch needs to be enabled to the ECU and a few other modules with a code reader (iid tool )has me at a dead end unless somebody here knows how or who in the country can make it work.
    I have already been to a couple of landrover specialist garages but they both failed to make it work but can see that the switch is not faulty.
    Any advice greatly appreciated
