1950s extension

Hi I’m currently sale agreed on a property built in the 1950s with 1 previous owner. There is an extension to the side and back of of the property. The vendor (daughter of the deceased owner) has signed an affidavit saying the extensions were built in the 50’s and are therefore exempt from planning permission. Will this cause any issues with the solicitor / bank?

    Thanks

I can't see a lender accepting anything other than a certificate from a professional. Should be straightforward if the extension was indeed built in that era ... approx.

The vendor will be asked for said cert.
