Hi, My 2008 118d SE engine has stopped.

Mechanic said its the timing chain problem.

Trying to work out a price to sell it for now.

under 130 miles on it. Stratches on the back bumper.

    Tidy besides.

Any idea what I should look for it?

It's probably worth scrap value with a broken engine unless you are willing to break it for parts.

    It’s worth zero as-is.
    It’s prob worth €2500 fixed?

Engine might be €1500-2000 so on paper it’s arguably worth doing. Depends on if you were planning to keep the car. If not then cut your losses.

Put it on adverts and donedeal and see what people are willing to give.
Best case, you get something and someone will trailer it away.
Worst case, you trailer it away yourself.

Ask €750 ish i'd say and take any offer you are made.

Cheapest on Donedeal are still around 3k for a running example, would easily spend €1500 making yours right.

If love it fix it. Otherwise upgrade.

Thank you for all the advice. I think go the Donedeal route...

    A lot less hassle.
