Have used them numerous times, no real issues. Shipping may be slow depending on courier you choose.

Any advice on the best courier to use? Is it shipped from a European warehouse or will there be extra duty to pay?

Dhl is usually the quickest but obviously more expensive than the other options.
Most items originate in China, so liable for duty etc if over €22, they do have some stock in overseas warehouses, you need to check the listing.
Have paid duties on some items e.g a tablet costing about €110, seems to be a bit hit or miss, you may be lucky.

if you're buying a tablet something like the samsung tab a7 has very good build quality and is not priced crazy high for what you get

buying from China is ok once you are prepared to pay the VAT and collection fee (or not if going through European warehouse) but if you have a problem with a device the chance of getting good after-sales service is low compared to somewhere like amazon
