    Hey guys,

Recently got a car with android auto in it which uses Google maps for navigation. However, when it gets dark out the map doesn't change to night mode automatically, I have to manually set it to night mode on my phone every time . Does anyone know if there is a way to set it to automatically change to night mode once it gets dark?

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S10+. Cheers.

Click on your own icon on the top left (right hand side of search bar) in maps.
    Go to Settings/Navigation Settings
    Scroll Down
    Map Display
    Colour Scheme
    Automatic/Day/Night

With Android auto I think it corresponds with when your lights come on in the car.

Cheers. I'm guessing automatic is what I'm looking for.

Yeah, I use automatic, when going through a tunnel it switches to dark mode and is more readable also of course when it is dark outside.
