Distribute Broadband all over house

Hi guys,

So I have recently moved into a new build and I'm trying to find out how to distribute the broadband 1gbps around my home. It looks to be wired but I'm unsure how to get the connection from modem via ethernet to the rest of the ethernet outlets around the house.

Any help will be great, thanks.

Then you need a network switch.

In the picture with the router you have you just need a ethernet cable from the router to the network point on the wall for everything to work around the house.

Depending on how many network points you have 8 port ones might do.

Edit: Nope loads of cables there, mught even need a 24

Sorry for a slight hijack here, but my issue is slightly similar.

I don't have my place fully cabled up, so having to use wifi for the back rooms of my apartment.

I was looking at a wifi extender. Could anyone recommend the best options available for this?

Got a TP Link AV 600 WiFi extender recently. Appears to have sorted coverage in a problematic room for me.

Oh great thanks for your reply, I am really only having this issue in one room (office), what kinds of speeds will this distribute through the cables in the wall?

Also, another question, the cables in the box on the wall have no connectors on the end just raw cables, how would I add those?

That speed for mains wire distribution is accepteble.

LAN cable need to be correctly specified for 1Gb/s (Cat 5e or better), and properly terminated at each end. This will easily provide you with 1Gb/s connection at any point throughout the home.
