Camera with gsm that emails photos

Hi I posted this in the security forum but it's a bit deserted!
I am having trouble off and on with someone entering my yard on an outfarm doing malicious damage and am looking for a single camera that'll snap n email photos. There's only one way they can come in so doesn't have to rotate etc.
I have rigged up an outdoor socket and a spotlight on a timer that comes on at night, stopped it for a while but back again. Can someone recommend a plug in outdoor camera that I put in a sim card that'll send me photos.
I'm not the most technically gifted so something on aliexpress may be beyond me!

You could just use trail camera and download photos from the memory card afterwards.

There's a selection of (albeit outrageously-priced*) solutions here from an Irish supplier. From the descriptions, they appear to be plug-and-play if you're less tech-savvy.

*I suppose, though, it may be a investment versus damage decision?

Don’t know how good they are but u can get censor lights that record when activated

Thanks folks, as I have an outdoor socket I reckon I'll go with brians router setup, etc. If I went with the trail camera it'd never be checked!

I'm dreadful with anything electrical so I'll rope in my neighbour to do the technical stuff. I've a fair idea who it is anyway, but the camera never lies!

I’m caretaking a farm that’s going through a will administration at the moment and have same trouble.

It’s 12km away from home and a right royal pain in the hole rust lads won’t leave things be.

I’ll be setting up a router and WiFi camera myself soon.

Was thinking of rigging up some kind of bamboo stake traps that the vietcong used!
Could be problematic if he took a compo case though- fbd might be able to wriggle away!

I have an indoor one set up in the kitchen that my brother got me three years ago. I can turn it on/off, rotate it, view at anytime and play back from my phone. It has infrared and motion detection. The camera quality is fine but if someone is more than 15/20 feet away you wouldn't be able to identify them. Make sure you get one that has a good camera zoom iykwim. add a micro sd card and you have the lot, recording to card, remote access to card, motion alarm alert.

If you only watch remotely when you get a motion alert alarm, the 24gb data should last for ages.

Take a look at this, a lot of cameras aren't able to clearly identify a persons face of license plates.

I'd say none of the budget cameras will be much use with registration plates especially in low light. But now with abilities to recognize that a person or vehicle has been detected then a notification of such activities is often enough.

That depends on what the OP wants to do, if they want to bring it further then knowing who a person is isn't enough, they'd have to be identifiable on the footage.

Agreed.

That's why I've said the notification is often enough and was a requirement specified by the OP.

At least 10 of them, no problems at all but won't work in a phone, has to be a mifi usb stick or router. Data only.
