Shower water pump problem

Moved into a new house last week. The shower in the main bathroom and en suite run off the same water pump. The main bathroom one works fine all the time, however the en suite one works fine sometimes but other times shuts off completely, not just reduced pressure, no water flow at all. My question is, is this likely to be a fault with the shower itself and I need a plumber to look at it, or with the pump and I need an electrician to look at it?
