How did everyone get on with the self grooming .

I'm not putting up a photo but I don't think I'll be going to a barber again.

Keep it short keep it real!

The missus has done mine twice at this stage, she is doing a good job in fairness. I still prefer to get it done by a Barber though but I can understand why people would be considering otherwise.

Twice of done mine and first time the fear as you run the razor is real. First cut went really well and thought the second one did as well till I see a tuft sticking out like a feicin unicorn on a zoom meeting that afternoon.

I get why we see so many mullets now it's a way easier style to maintain 🤣😂

Finally got my hands on a Wahl razor 6 months ago.
I was a bit apprehensive about shaving my head at first.
As I'm very thin on top I decided to go all in, blade 1 all over.
Have mastered the beard trimming too. It looks very neat and tidy I'm told.

The young fella is adamant that only the barber can do his haircut. So I'll still have to bring him when they open.
Otherwise, it's a DIY job for me from now on.

I am cutting my own hair now but prefer a barber haircut. But some of them would want to be careful with the prices they charge, some of them are looking for crazy money for a haircut.

I haven’t had a haircut since December. This is the longest my hair’s been in my life. I’m kind of enjoying the experiment to be honest.

Mine has been done twice now at home using clippers

The ears are tricky to get right so I will be back to the barber after vaccination.

tried trimming just to see how it would look, like millimeters off just, front was grand, sides too but the back was impossible to do at least properly...YouTube assisted.

I gave my regular barber a break as it’s a very small shop and he tends to have mates and family hanging around at times.. first cut after covid was the same although they were masked up it didn’t impress me at all.. not needed

Found a big, bright and airy salon in my local shopping center, seats for waiting are outside and seriously well spaced...

Girl asks you what you want and won’t utter another word, she goes behind a Perspex screen to organize payment with you.

If the ears are a problem there’s a Turkish barber in Swords?

Wasn't taking any chances so went with the natural look:

I have clippers and do a blade two all over. Pretty easy

Life must be horrible for folks who have a "haircut"

The first cut after the barbers I do myself is nice when I dont **** with the top too much.

I spent 1 year doing self haircuts. Then in December I went to this Romanian woman in barbers near Trinity College She did such an amazing job, with beard, I took me down a a few pegs after I was getting a bit cocky and smug with my home jobs.

Had a new found respect for the barber. Cant wait until they open again. All in all though, I've spent 30 yoyos on Barbers since around Dec 2019 Basically went once.

I have the clippers but I don't have the balls to follow through. I've one of those heads where a solid 2-4 all round would not compliment me at all and definitely lacking the skills to do anything else so I'll bide my time I guess.

Likewise. I'll wait until the barbers open. My hair is messy and untidy at present but I'd rather wait.

My missus is a hairdresser so I've been going into work with a fresh fade while the rest of the lads there are looking like the dog from the dulux ad

Almost everyone I know has been getting professional haircuts throughout the entire pandemic. Most barbers and hairdressers are working from home.
