Worcester gas boiler...pressue dropping

The Worcester gas Boiler is from 2012. Never any real trouble with it. The capacitator died in the receiver last year but I replaced that myself..easy job.

Now, last weekend I notice the towel radiator was stone cold but the other rads working. Went to bleed it. A lot of air which gradually stopped but no water. Went to boiler and pressue gauge at flat- zero pressue. Filled the tank up to 1.5-2 bar. Went back and bled the rad some more until water appeared. Reheated up grand. Topped up boiler as the pressure had dropped due to the bleeding.

Now, a few times over the past week the pressure is at zero. Fill it up but within 24 hours it is back down.

The entire central heating system was replaced for new 2 years and the boiler recommissioned.

I want to rule out (God forbid) a water leak somewhere but there is zero evidence of any leaking from the rad connections. I dread to think there is leaking pipes under floorboards or behind walls. Again no visual evidence of leaks anywhere.

What can I do myself before having to call out a plumber!!

How did you get on with this? I have a Worcester Bosch 21 kw Greenstar boiler that got installed around 4yrs ago. I got it serviced a few months ago, and since then the system seems to be losing pressure gradually. There's no sign of any water leaking anywhere, but I'm being told there has to be a leak in the radiator distribution. I think I'll need to get a different plumber as I've no faith in my first man.

Often an undersized or failed expansion vessel is the cause, and this is usually an easy fix.

Any decent plumber or heating contractor will identify if this is the cause, and regardless come up with a plan to resolve the issue.

There are leak sealants additives available, to just add to the system,

a little odd that it only started after getting the boiler serviced,

Can the boilers pressure vessel be easily repressurised if needed ?

There are, and some of them are quite effective.

Depends if the vessel has simply lost some of its charge, or if the bladder has ruptured internally. In my experience more often than not the bladder is ruptured or the condition of the vessel otherwise is such that replacement is the way forward.
