    Probably definitely just nosey but also like to understand the mechanisms of stuff.

    Neighbor up the lane finished new build about 18 months ago.

    Saw ordinance survey official van out yesterday guy with plot machine etc. What would be the purpose of this? Eircode or official maps or something . He was going around boundaries etc the plot backs a farm land. Assumed you had to get your own surveyor for stuff like that ?

    You can be certain that they were not working for the neighbour - just updating mapping of the area. If his house was a recent change, that is why they were around there.

    OS maps are also updated based on satellite imagery (if you grow a big enough hedge in your garden, they may map it as a new field boundary).
